battlefield 3 vertical syncronisation

hi my monitor is 60hz and when i turn vsync on in game i am still tearing and flickering please guide thanks

How about you list out the specs of your machine including the details of your monitor as a start.

Try turning v-sync on.

Are you using an NVIDIA or AMD card? They both can set a profile for the game to force Vsync on. Try newer or even older drivers if that doesn't help.

Put the specs in your signature, you won't have to post the same thing going forward.

Open your Nvidia control panel, go to Manage 3D settings and at the bottom of all the settings is the Vertical sync option, that should read "Use the 3D application setting".

One possibility is the driver is overriding your setting in game.

Now explain what you mean by flickering? This has nothing to do with vsync tears and I am not sure what you mean.
