i really hope they stop making meat grinder bottlenecking maps like the rush maps from BC2 and also MoH.

I'd go as far as to say if they made BF3 with maps like that, they would have to give it a different name, because the wide-open battlefield is just about the defining feature of the series.

Yet you pay full price for the same Call of Duty game 4 times over. Battlefield won't miss you.

the BF games are all the same as well so I don't get your point. Seriously, we're talking about EA here, the originators of the "same game different #" scheme.

at least I enjoyed the CoD games. Can't say that for the BF games.

I didn't pay full price for all of them. Shows how much you know.

BF2 and Bad Company 2 certainly aren't the same....

Well I enjoyed Battlefield games and there is a HUGE difference between Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 2. Not just some slight updates to the game.

I don't know why other games don't use frostbite 2.0 or even 1.5 engine, the game is just beautiful!

Can't wait for this! :D

Hopefully they'll increase the blood/gore by a few orders of magnitude!

I agree, i wish they would add gibs to the game. I long for the day i can shoot someones head off in game and stays in game world long enough to admire. Whats the point of adding blood and ragdoll effects if you can't dismember people? :D

I just saw that - I'm trying to figure out how to do it but it won't pick up on my BF2 account...grr.

There's a website you need to go to to link the old games to your BC2 account.
From the sticky:
# On the scoreboard in BFBC2, sometimes I see little white boxes with numbers next to players names. What does this mean? That number is the players Battlefield Veteran rank. It denotes the total number of Battlefield games the player has owned and played, and registered on the Battlefield Veterans web site. You can access it from the BFBC2 main site, via the My Soldier | Veterans Link in the menu bar (you have to log in to see the Veterans lnk).
# What benefits do Battlefield Veterans get when purchasing BFBC2? The class gadgets Ammo Box (Assault), Medkit (Support), Defibrillator (Support), Repair Tool (Engineer), and Motion Sensor (Recon), normally need to be unlocked as you play. But these will be unlocked from the start for Battlefield veterans. DICE's reasoning for making them unlocks for rookies is that it gives them a chance to educate the rookie on the purpose and usefullness of these class unlocks. Veterans should already be aware of this. Source. Also, everyone with a Veteran rank of 1 or more will have access to the M1 Garand Rifle in Battlefield Bad Company 2. Source.

I don't know if this guy really knows this or is making it up. That TG-Juneau guy that predicted Vietnam release dates and the contents of Map Pack 7 turned out to be for real....
Believe if you want to believe, and your day can be filled with sunshine and rainbows :)

I dont want any major leaks coming from this. XD

He told me...

-Jets. They are back.
-Prone. It is back.
-Maps 3 times the size of BC2...They are here.
-The PC Version of the game is being ported to the console, unlike the vice-virca we all thought. Huzza!
-Information and "other cool stuff" coming this month
-Beta Summer 2011
-Release in November/December 2011.
-PC Version is getting remakes of fan favorites.
-64 Players Max on PC. Unknown for consoles.

If we could take that as gospel it would be somewhat of a relief, but it still leaves room for things like auto-knife...

"Remakes of fan favorites", do you think that's a reference to maps? Has to be, yes?

Can't wait to see what kind of crapfest the next COD turns out to be after the IW implosion and mass defection.

OT, but anyone else find it hilarious that IW was spawned out of the EA team from MOH, that left EA, developed COD, became part of activision, then left to rejoin EA as respawn?

This guy came to "me", in a similar thread to this one I posted at TechPowerUp. They have a bunch of active BFBC2 players there.

I am not saying this is TG Juneau, AAMOF, I saw TG Juneau in a thread on the EA UK forums disclaiming any knowledge of details on BF3.

heck maybe respawn can revive MoH then. although i don't think MoH will get another release after the last one.
