Battlefield 3 - Quick Question

Hello all,

I've recently bought a new computer - the most powerful one I own to date. That being said, I began to look into games and BF3 immediately stuck out but I'm unsure if I would be able to run it properly.

Here are my specs. If I'm missing something, please do tell.

Intel Core i7-3632 QM @ 2.20 GHz with some kind of boost technology (I hit around 2.8 GHz while playing other games)
8.00GB DDR3 Ram
AMD Radeon HD 7730M (Intel HD Graphics 4000 Secondary)

The video card is what intrigues me the most. I went on 'Can You Run It' to see if I could and apparently I fail for the recommended settings. It reads the video card as the Intel and not the AMD.

I pass all the individual requirements but the overall I fail somehow. I'm new to computer gaming so I'm sure I'm missing something.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Julien

it looks like the test picked up your intel HD graphics and not your 7730.
I also don't think the 7730 will be able to run bf3 but I could be wrong.

I would have thought it would run it, especially on a lower resolution laptop screen.

Great, thanks guys. I won't play it nonstop but it seems like a lot of fun. I have it for PS3 but on some of the bigger maps, 24 players is nothing!

Cheers,

You'll have no problem running the game at playable fps with mediumish settings. Just depends on what your native resolution is and if you intend on running at it.
