Battlefield 3 Active?

Is Battlefield 3 still active for multiplayer? Is it worth getting the premium version at this time?

I don't know about premium, but I have never had too much problem getting into a game.

last time i tried it it was on vanilla maps, i only have karkand but didn't see any servers with karkand maps, they probably have the rest of the premium maps in the rotation so i only get to see vanilla

Just played a round last night when Bf4 kept crashing :/
Didn't have a problem finding a server with plenty of people.
