And I lost my cd, so I can't play the new 1.5. is there a way around it, i don't see any nocd/dvd fixes anywhere.

Actually, I have an extra 2142 CD, since I bought the original, then the deluxe edition, and then was forced into the EA download version. I could mail it to you if you wanted. What's your zip code?

Get a mini image (www.gamecopyworld.com), and mount in daemon tools.

Obviously you'd need a valid key to play online at all, but that should fix your problem.

i play infantry maps only and i always find a good carebear or jibby map to play on and then jump off.

Yes, the game is still played by many people. I just got the deluxe edition a few weeks ago and I'm having lots of fun with the game. It's a great change of pace from BF2.

I still play fairly regularly.

I noticed a server fall off 6-7 months ago, but it seems to be back now. Perhaps the last patch brought some people back, I'm not sure. I'm on the east coast, so that's where I try to find servers.

My current soldier is nimski.

the only problem with my 2142 is that the northern strike maps are corrupted and it says that i should be playing on unmodified content, even though i have none. and yes i did spend $9.99 to buy them.

I started back trying to play but I am getting horrible FPS with my new 8800GT card. My 7900GT would run it at 80fps..same settings my 8800GT is putting out like 30-40fps...and as you know, quite a bit lower in Titan mode. But, it seems there are still quite a few active servers with enough people to make some fun games.

Thx bud, I actually just decided to pony up the 16.99 for the deluxe edition from buy.com + free shipping cuz i don't have northern strike. Thanks alot though.

IF you remember ur soldier name and account,, You can get it off

Log in on the main page,, then go to support --> my account --> login--> login AGAIN --> My Games --> and your key should be displayed on the bottom. PUT IT IN A TXT file on your computer, as it is technically what you paid for

What are those "Flashing Servers"

What is difference between Ranked and Unranked, Like if I get points in unranked does that not count towards unlocks and stuff?

and while we're on the unlock subject,, is there any el'cheapo ways to get unlocks? run my own server or sumtin?

Reallyz? hmm,, Reformat and if you have AMD make sure NOT to install the AMD cpu drivers, it comes through windows update automatically so you need to uncheck it.

Like without the AMD drivers, I can watch 1080p mkvs just fine, but with them,, They become choppy and the sound starts to lag.

really? wow..I needed the AMD optimizer drivers for some other game..I forgot. It's a startup icon, I wonder if I can just kill the service through the task manager. Thanks, that'll give me something to look at and mess with.

The Voss rapes, get 40-1 no problem with it.

A server becomes ranked once a certain number of players join, and your stat points stick only in ranked servers. No quick way to get unlocks, but if you go after badges and pins you get more points.

As far as buying the deluxe edition: good fucking luck with that. I did the same thing and it took EA TWO MONTHS and a shit ton of emails to get NS activated on my account.

There isn't a separate key that will activate northern strike when I install my deluxe Edition? Is it one disk or something? God fargin ding it. I'm thinking about canceling the order now. Grr...

The Deluxe Edition worked fine for me. After installing the game off the disc you link the code to your account and it activates for you.
