Battlefield 2

hi. i have battlefield 2 and a gigabyte radeon 9250 card on agp 4x mode. whenever battlefield is about to get into the menu after the intro videos, it just stuffs up wrecks.

SOMEONE HELP ME.

That is a pretty neutered card to even attempt playing BF2 in. My old 9800 Pro was heavily stressed at 800x600 in that game

ya like the above posts, the R9250 may be not able to run the game..

I had a R9800pro, played at 1024x768, ya, lag sometimes.. with P4 3.0g

Make sure you have plenty of ram too...
two gig may say enough..

I'm afraid to say that a Radeon 9250 will not play Battlefield 2, period. 🙁

you should at least be able to run BF2 on that card, its dx 8.1

lol a 9250. I already lag with a 7800gt. I think a 9250 would be considered intergrated graphics now.

Apparently after one of the patches (I think it was 1.2 if I recall correctly), people who had 9250s could no longer run Battlefield 2.

BF2 just can't be optimized to run on video cards that old...I think an upgrade is in store for you...

ATi cranked out a lot of cheaper-to-make cards in the 9xxx series which were lesser than the 8500. Higher number names do not always mean better and that applies even in the 9xxx series since the 8500 LE was also sold as the 9100 and prolly kicked booty on everything up to but not including the 9500 which in some cases was equivalent to the 9700 and kicked booty on 9500 Pro and 9600.

does anyone have thought on running BF2 with a 7300 GS card ? or is there a 6k series card that would be better ?
