Is it possible to add the 32 player version of the GoO map to the instant action map list?

This wasn't an issue until EA started blacklisting all the servers that had disabled the time limit, but quite frankly 10-12 minute rounds SUCK.

I must say though, 31 bots and no time limit gets pretty intense.

It's not quite the same, but quite frankly I'd rather play with bots than with a time limit.

If anybody has an IP (name won't count) of a NTL server, that'd be great.

I wish ASE would hurry up and release an update for BF2 support. :)

One can argue that that is their right, but it still sucks.

Yes. They blacklisted servers that disabled the time limit as well as servers that had unlocked weapons.

They don't show up on the server browser anymore. Only way to join them is through IP.

What hoebags. It's not like they need to put a timelimit on it to sell the game. They're gonna fvck with the mod community and there will be no DC equivalent for BF:2

Out of spite (and because I'd do it anyway)

I've already deleted the intro movies, changed my local server to disable the time limit, AND modified it so I can select the number of bots in instant action. :D

Anyone have any good IP's?

You obviously never played the 32 player (multiplayer) version. That one has APCs, tanks, helicopters, jets, etc.

ah neat... I usually don't play online till I have rthe basics of the game, it annoys me when there's clueless people pissing around online.

The other thing that annoys me is the rebuilding of textures when you change the settings... commonly it takes a lot of tweaking to get the right balance between fancy effects/res and FPS, but because of the tediousness of changing settings I've just cranked the settings up a bit and am living with it.

I also found the sound had issues under hardware acceleration...

So what are the aircraft like? Twitchy like DC or too easy like BF: Vietnam?

That's the point of the thread.

Either post an IP and how to add maps to instant action :p

Or join the hate EA bandwagon :D

Where do I sign up? :D

I hate that so much, when people do something in which they have NO idea with what they are doing, like flying a plane or being commander.

I love the helicopters, the gunner is actually effective! It's just that too many people screw with missles and don't use the main gun that actually works.

The only things that's pissy is the bombs that airplanes drop do crap for splash damge and it's hard to figure out where bombs are going to land.

Flying is difficult if its your first time. Took me around 10 tries to just get off the carrier and not crash into the ocean.

I've not played DC or Vietnam.

There was a World of Water server that didn't have a time limit.

I got banned from it for calling down an artillery strike on about 8 teammates though. Once mind, you, only once :p

I swear there were atleast 10 red blips there when I called it down though.

Was up to around 58 kills and 9 deaths. :D

I like playing commander. Despite a few mistakes

IMO, special forces is the best all around class. C4 is better than a rocket launcher any day :D

^ for the lunch crowd.

I found a few NTL servers, but I doubt they'll stay on the list for long. Server is always 31\32 or 32\32 though :(

How are you finding them...

I just type in "Limit" or "Unlock" or "Weapons" and there's usually a couple. I was playing on one or two 64 player servers last night... I hope there's still some left. :)

No, it's a multiplayer game, there is no story, and therefore no need to go back. That said, BF:V is still a great game with loads of flavor.

Anything that has over 25 people that isn't an "official" server is normally a pretty decent bet.

Avoid servers that are put out by game server hosting companies as they don't want any trouble with EA.

Clan servers tend to have the highest ratio of limit:no limit servers.

Most everything after that is guess and check though.

I found a nice one that always pings below 50 and is normally full.

Obviously I'm not going to post it publically because I DO want to get in later, but feel free to PM ;)

you have a lot more patience than I do... I crashed into the sea a couple of times and simply quit trying to fly them.
