Battlefield 2 question

6800GT most likely, Nvidia logo appears on the Battlefield 2 website and in this video the producer answers system req question saying that to turn all settings to high you need a P4, couple gigs of ram and Geforce FX video card...

rofl hes wrong a amd64 will be better in this game and between x800xl and 6800gt is gonna be close i recommend x800xl. you will probably need about 1 gig maybe 2 if there is alot of action and alot of players.

i'd wait till the game comes out w00t before recomending an x800.....usually nvidia stamped games preform better...like doom3

nVidia stamped game means nothing, BFV was nvidia stamped and the current gen cards were GF FX and SUCKED compared to the ATi cards out. Same with UT2004, it heavily favored ATi cards at the time.

Current gen cards are more evenly matched and I'll go out on a limb and say neither will perform all that different from the other.

However Matthias is completely correct, we're all just looking at crystal balls right now. Nobody really knows until the game actually comes out.

Ya both bf1942 and Bfv were nvidia stamped and the Ati equivalents of the Nvidia cards out at the time preformed better. Probably safe to say that it will follow this same trend. If your AGP get a 6800gt because you can get it for $300 as opposed to $330 for x800xl agp. If its pci-e get a x800xl because you can get it for about $285 as opposed to the 6800gt which is about $370.
