Battlefield 2: possible to play the multiplay maps solo?

Is it possible to somehow make the game play multiplayer maps solo with only myself and bots? I d/led a few multiplayer map packs but they dont work in solo mode and boot me to the desktop when i try it.

Any settings i can change to make it work properly in solo mode?
 
as far as i know you can only play with bots on original 16 player maps. The maps that you downloaded will not work with bots.
