There are two booster packs coming for $9.99 each. They are downloadable only and one will introduce the EU and one will focus on tank warefare. Also, the worst of all patches, 1.2, will be coming out soon. Enjoy playing while it's still fun.

No word about widescreen support with the patch.

What the hell is a "booster pack"? A gimped expansion pack? How will that work with dedicated servers? I imagine pretty soon everyone would have to buy them if they wanted to play regularly.

Oh and if anyone reads this at EA, I will not be buying your booster packs. I am hoping my favorite server La Cantina will not use them either. You need to learn to not try to openly rip people off. We just paid $40 for an expansion a couple of months ago & now you put out these stupid packs? Thanks, but NO THANKS!

Yeah I broke down and bought SPF2(it was on sale at least).Been really disapointed with EA lately. Trying to re-install and patch the 2 games was a nightmare. Buggy. Blah. Addictive gameplay though. Why is patch 1.2 going to be the worst ever?? (Although I don't doubt it).

Oh yeah I don't see the need for all thse petitions cause they won't change it. If it was an easy fix they would've done it. You can either 1) play a 4:3 res but stretched to full screen, 2) use command-line to specify a WS res but get some vertical viewing chopped off, or 3) play a 4:3 resolution with no scaling (black bars on the side).

Can't say I like the options... I generally go with 2 tho I've seen screenshots and you can lose quite a bit, so I may just play 4:3 with black bars.



As far as the booster packs, if they're only 1/3 of the cost of SF they prolly give 1/3 of the additions, which would amount to a weapon and one new map. LOL. EU one sounds useless (like the added factions in SF, gotta love how half the SF levels have one side like the SAS have pimped out weapons facing the old crappy originals) or unfair, and tank warfare is fvcking ridiclous already (the rare chance I get to hop in a tank I get more kills than the whole game as infantry, except that clan whores are in tanks constantly), I will definitely avoid that one.


I'm really looking forward to 1.2 though. Finally the air whores will be easier to deal with, some of the nearly useless classes might be better, no bunny hopping clan boys or retarded prone crap, etc etc. w00t!

Yeah I think everyone should petition the server owners/clans to skip this garbage. If they all jump on them then everyone has to buy them to play online? What a rip. And these expansions and patches don't install/function together worth a crap.:disgust: (Can we say crap in AT forums?)

Firstly, lets not act like adding widescreen support is not possible.
Secondly, lets not assume EA will "fix" anything at any time - they have a record of leaving bugs the way they are while putting out expansions packs and now boosters for a game.

They're making too many changes in 1.2. Removing the ability to jump and shoot is stupid. I'm not that good at the game, but I don't have a problem killing the bunny hoppers. I don't see why so many people do.

As for SF, that has to be the worst add-on to a game that I can ever remember.

I LOVE how the bunny hopping will finally end!

There are plenty of game son the market for you bunny hoppers. How about letting us more mellow folk have some fun too?

Having said that though, they probably should make it a server option so the bunny hoppers can still play with their jittery style somewhere... though I bet it would be hard to actually find a server that allows it! Almost all the servers I join already say somewhere in the rules "BUNNY HOPPING = BAN!".
