This is what he told me: "really weird i keep trying to log in but it just hangs on me. I tried it on bf2, sf, and the demo and it just hangs for a long time. help?"

He said that when he tries to login using his account it just stops at that screen. I used his account on my computer and I logged in sucessfully. He also used my account, but still no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

edit: He can't login as himself, but can login as me. I can also log in at him, weird behavior, he tried reinstalling the game, no luck either.

Update: He just scratched the disc and can no longer install it anymore, so he's done with battlefield.

New Question: Can I use his serial code for my game to install on his computer?

Perhaps a reinstall of the game might be in order. Or at least the demo so it doesnt take as long to test if it even works. I'd make sure to delete My Docs\Battlefield 2 Demo directory after he uninstalls because this may be where the problem lies.

There was some group of files related to network/logging in I thought. They weren't the shader cache or whatever, but I can't remember what they were. I remember being told that clearing them speeds up the login process and it definitely did for me. Perhaps if he did the same it might not hang on him. But I'm really not remembering what exactly it was all about... I'll post back if I find out.

edit: Didn't see your edit.. well disregard my post heh.

Well, it's possible the documents section could cause problems.

I first had this problem when I firstly created my login...
sometimes it would hang and never connect. Cntrl+alt+delete and retry normally fixed it.

If he has never gone passed this screen I would recommend doing a whole new install.
