battlefield 2 intro removed?

I know its been posted on other forums, but i cant seem to find it and i really want to get to the login screen faster.

reason:
sometimes game crashes and i have to reopen it, wastes time.
or if im changing my settings

maybe they should just patch it out as an option to view the intro again. like a check box. thats how other games do it.

and no i cant wait because sometimes i open the game, wait for the dice screen to show, hit enter it freezes. either get lucky and i can clt alt del or i have to reboot. then start the process over. then do it like 2-3 times before i can actually play and i already wasted 10-15mins of my time.

IIRC, you can just rename the mods\bf2\movies dir.

If you want to retain the menu background, etc. just delete (or rename) everything in the movies dir. but menu*.bik.

i kept menu_loggedin.bik also. Dont we need it to login?

You can safely delete or rename everything in the

Battlefield 2/mods/bf2/movies folder EXCEPT

* Menu
* Menu_loggedin

I personally would just recommend you create a new folder "junk" and move them there.

You can get rid of menu and menu_loggedin, but you might notice those are missing
