Battlefield 2 fans

Finn Wars 2 is in development, and the project was originally started as a mod for Battlefield 2, but now it's own game, and the developers are using their own engine.

It looks kind of cool, the Finn Wars were certainly epic, and before anyone says the Russians won, they didn't, the Finns fought the entire Russian army to a stand still.

don't forget, some amazing snipers were in the Finnish Army, while the Finnish pilots were very skilled, despite the overwhelming odds posed by the Russian Air force.

This isn't just a clash between two backward forces, don't forget the Russians had invented the first true assault rifle, while the Finns innovate with their terrain.

So overall, I am definitely excited, and any battlefield fan should be as well.

Cool. I just bought bf2142 less than a week ago and I got 20 hours logged, pretty solid game to play with a few friends. I'll be keeping an eye out for this.

I have a hard time getting excited over one screenshot and a few models.

I browsed their forums for a few minutes and get the impression they are a long way from a release. They may find themselves in competition with an evental BF3 release. (you know DICE has not forgotten the hard-core PC Gamer, don't you 😉 )

Maybe if I was of Finnish ancestry, I'd be more excited...
