Battlefield 2 Demo - Is it buggy? My computer keeps crashing while playing it.

Just downloaded the Battlefield 2 demo and started playing it. It looks great but my computer keeps locking up or crashing. Is the demo buggy? How is the retail version? I'm able to play most other games without any problems.....

Demo never crashed for me.

I only experience that once with this game demo and only on one machine. The first time the game started up, it did something to the sound card drivers (Chaintech AV-710) and messed things up royal. After reinstalling the latest drivers from VIA, the game worked fine after that. Probably not what's causing your particular problem, but this is what worked for me.

I had some problems like that when I was running the demo with 512mb ram. After going to 1gig most all problems dissapeared except some stuttering on the start of game.

Retail version is fairly stable for me, although the two most common (and annoying)problems I experience are "Your connection has been lost" hitches during multiplayer and random reboots when starting the game. Keep in mind this game requires 2 GB of RAM in order to run without studdering at the beginning (and sometimes end) of the matches.
