Battlefield 2 and X-Fi?

I've been playing using software mode without any EAX stuff using my onboard AC97 soundcard.

I just picked up the X-Fi Xtreme Music and I hope it's going to make the overall experience better! (and maybe increase performance by a few FPS too)

I think it makes a nice difference. Sound is fuller and better spaced around you if using surround. I give it a thumbsup.

Hmm, I didnt notice a big difference on my X-Fi between high and ultra sound settings.
It handles more sounds at one time but the sound quality itself is still 16/48 sampling.

Comparing the X-Fi to your onboard sound the they difference is very noticable and you will likely be limited by your speaker setup.

Since you dont ahev Xram you will want to limit your voices to 64 instead of the full 128 that the X-Fi is capable of.

I am using Audigy 2, but when i select hardware rendering, the sound will sound weird.
why is this?
