Battlefield 2 and SP2??

I can't get my stupid BF2 to work with WinXP SP2....

what gives!???

There's a problem obviously. What do you mean by "can't get... BF2 to work?" Will it install? does it crash? Can you get into the game?

when i click on my bf2 icon, my screen goes black

then nothing! it quits back to the desktop!

So if you go back to SP1 it works?

I run BF2 under SP2 with no probs. Thats not your issue, look elsewhere. In fact your graphic's card is proabally the issue as BF2 is very fussy about vid cards.

i have a bfg 6800oc it worked fine before the newest patch

try out the beta drivers from nvidia and a reinstall of the game uninstall everything before the reinstall andclean your system with a junk remover, remove spyware, run anti-virus, and defrag the HD, and go to http://gear.ign.com/articles/626/626714p1.html?fromint - you can recover your profile for BF2 with your username and password, you will need your password
