battlefield 2 1.21 patch

anybody having issues with it? i just d/led it and installed it, and now i can't even load BF2, the splash screen pops up and disappears within a second or two, then it looks like it's ready to load the actual game as the screen turns black, but it only does it for about 3-4 seconds and then it returns to desktop. no error message or anything. i haven't rebooted my computer after the installation but i wasnt asked to do so nor have i ever needed to do that in the past. is anybody having similar experience?

You may need to install the full patch instead. Quite a few people have experienced problems with the incremental one.

that sucks, the full patch is like 329 mb :T
