i think i saw this posted somewhere before but i can't find it anymore... but i'll ask again here..

when i open battlefield 1942, it goes to the black screen, then exits back to window and a msg box pops up and closes really quick.. it does this everytime i try to play teh game... it just started happening today.. i was playing this game for a day or two before and everything worked fine... anyone have any ideas as to why it does this?

my problem was because i have a geforce 2 and win xp, so in games it only goes at 60 hertz, so i installed riva tuner's 60hz refresh rate fix so that i could play games at 85 hz... well in batteliefield 1942, it only runs in 60 hz, so since that fix i ran changed it to 85 hz, it wouldnt run.. if u installed any refresh rate fix, u need to uninstall it, and use a standalone program to keep the refresh rate at 85 in games, such as refreshlock..

hope that made sense..
 
How do you exit the higgins boats as the Japanese when hitting the island (higgins boats is the american name for those transport boats). I can't seem to open the door so I can get out (tried the use button - please help)

They really out to have just made it the freakin' use button...
 
Thanks, I figured it out by reading some other forum. I'm not going to uninstall my refresh rate proggy, they should fix the game.
