Sounds like your power supply isn't supplying enough juice?

AND your CPU might be overheating. Post more info about your system setup and temps !

i get a similar problem... when i'm home i might get a random reboot in bf1942, but at the ucf lan part this past saturday, not a single reboot. aditionally, i can boot back up from a random reboot and play forever without a problem. i can't figure out the problem for the life of me. i had similar problem on my old geforce2 mx (radeon 9700np now). i'm thinking it may be a software issue

I believe this happens when you are the subject of a particularly vicious ass-whupping.

typical temp, 45 or so, geforce 2 mx, SB 128 (hoping to soon buy an audigy 2) have the same probs in eve beta and planetside beta. my friend uses the same case/psu for a palomino core chip.

I can't get BF1942 to run at all even with all the new patches installed. I start the game, set everything up and then it crashes harmlessly to the desktop. What a game!

It appears that he is also running a GeForce4.
