I have i slight problem... i bought my self a copy of Battlefield 1942 from our local gamestore. Then i got and i installed it, after that i downloaded
the official retail patch 1.1, the thing is that every server i try connect to is saying "Invalid CD-key".
How could this be possible is somebody playing online with my CD-key? If it is so, is there anyway i could change the damn key? (i'm not asking for anybodys cd-key). It seem rather useless to buy a game if you can't even play online.

Has the gaming industrie got to the point that they're punishing those who spend they're little money for the original copy's...?

Thank you !

Bring it back to where you bought it & ask for an exchange, tell them about the cd key being allready in use.

Well, there are two ways this could have happened:
A key generator just happened to get your key randomly (not very likely)
Someone "bought" it, installed it, returned it. Stores really shouldn't do that.

It's not really the gaming industries fault - they are just trying to sell their product (if the price is right - that's another question)... And do you really want to go back to a Dongle system? People copy, the industry is trying to minimize the problem. I am sure that either the store or EA are willing to help .

You're right, I hate those dongles...

Anyway the thing is in finland if you order something by mail you have the right to return the goods back in 14days (no questions asked)
in you will fully refunded. Well lets see i'll still try strugle with this one. Let's see what happens.

Btw: A always assumed that a keygen, creates keys randomly with some kind of a formula. So if the keygen does make actually working keys, doesn't it mean that crackers had have list working keys? Keygen suck!
