Battlefield 1942 Patch: Does it even help and do anything?

Ok, it has been almost two months since i bought this stupid game and I still haven't gotten it to work.

I have given up because I'm a lazy S.O.B.

Well, the new patch has been released for quite sometime now and i have yet to install it. I'm wondering, will it do "wonders" for the game and fix all these stupid problems that the lazy developers didn't fix? Or will the same problems be there?

If this patch won't fix a lot of the problems, i'm gonna wait for the next patch of that to come out.

And besides, i still have yet to play my other games:

Need for speed 3: hot pursuit 2
Hitman
Combat Flight Simulator 3
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002
Batman: Vengeance
Simcity 4

What problems are you having? I never had any problems with the unpatched version. The patch, I believe, improves multiplayer.

Yes, there are some fixes...but it depends on what issues you were having.
