Battlefield: 1942 online question

i keep trying to play bf 1942 online but everytime i try to enter a game it says wrong version do you want to update? and then it hust brings me to the EA Games website.

does anyone now what the problem is?
i downloaded the patch and gamespy but nothin still.

are they using road to rome or secret weapons?

What patch did you update to?

Are you posibly trying to join mod servers without the mod?

Do you have all the expansion packs? Many of the servers are RTR or SW.

no the games im trying to play are just the original, which is what i have.

every single game gives me that message, i clicked on prolly 20 or 30

make sure you are running .6, and you arent trying to join a Desert Combat server.

i downloaded the patches and it still wont work and all it did was completely screw up my screen so now its round.

can somebody please help me thanks alot

you sure? I dont see anything on the webpage.

I guess there is, i have the patch i linked to and when i just tried to play it said i had the wrong version. I still cant find the newer patch anywhere on the official webpage.

I think this is the one you need after the other one.

well all i know is that none of the patches i downloaded worked and now my screen is all messed up

i now have to reinstall it for the 3rd time today

i downloaded the 1.6b patch from gamespot, still nothing

ok, i got mine working. First download and install ftp://largedownloads.ea.com/pu...1942_patch_v1.6.19.exe then download and install this one. You might want to uninstall and reinstall first.

allright yeah i got mine to work also. i guess i downloaded the 2nd one first or sumtn.

my screen is still messed up though when i get into a game its allright.

Make sure you also dl th DC mods in this order:

DC .7
DC Final
DCX
