Battlefield 1942 on Geforce 440 MX doesn't work

(I tried posting this in Tech Support, but got only 1 reply suggesting that I ask over here in Video. Sorry for the crosspost.)

I am able to run Quake and Half-Life perfectly. I just installed the latest NVIDIA drivers. Is there any hope for me to get this game to run? (The dual screens has not caused a problem in the past, but I tried disabling the secondary and it didn't make any difference)

Running Windows 2000 AS, 512M RAM.

It sound liked the game is misreporting your card as GeForce4 MX's don't have pixel shaders but do have Hardware T & L and can do vertex shading in software. I guess you'll have to wait for a patch (which is inevitable, anyways) that supports the GeForce4 MX correctly.
