Hey All-
I've been playing the Battlefield 1942 multiplayer demo for the past few days and it's a great game! Only problem I have is that it stutters quite a lot. I have searched the net and on here looking for answers and came up with the sound card: SoundBlaster Live! Value. I read to turn down the quality to medium and to 11khz. So, I did this and makes zero difference. I have the latest SBLive driver and NVidia drivers in and it still didn't fix it. I patched the demo with the patch available and still nothing. I mean, you hardly notice it when you're playing in a lot of action, but when things are slow and you're showing someone something cool, it's very apparent. Here are my specs:
Intel Pentium 4 1.6A @ 2480Mhz
512MB DDR413
NVidia GeForce 3 Ti200 @ 225/510
Windows XP Professional
V-sync off, FSAA off, all tweaked.... tried different drivers too as well as clean driver installs.
I also edited a file that allows me to change the refresh rates in the game and that didn't fix it, but it's nice to have something over 60hz anyway in the game
I'm not sure what to do, everything is in perfect working order and performance wise except for this game. The only way I can get it to go away is to run 800x600x16-bit... anything above that and it stutters, but even at 1600x1200x32-bit I'm still pushing around 50fps with some slight action, but it stutters.
Suggestions?
Thanks!
