Back when Pocket PC's were all the rage, I found this little gem: Battle Dwarves. Sort of like "Snails", I guess, but with, uh, Dwarves.
It was a great game. My son misses it and wants to play it. I only have a smartphone now, and PCs all over the house. Does anyone know if:
1) There was ever a version made for the PC? I Googled and found some references to cheats, etc. for it, but no actual trialware, shareware downloads, etc.
The company, "Infinite Ventures", apparently wasn't so infinite and appears to be out of business. I found "Rubicon Development" (link) that either bought the rights or is a new incarnation. I saw nothing for sale on their site, but maybe I'm just tired tonight.
2) In lieu of that, can anyone recommend a similar game? Preferably freeware, but I'd be willing to pay $10 or so if it was *really* good. Back in the early 90's I remember a tank sort of game...
A quick Google search turned up Pocket Tanks... maybe that was it... I dunno...
