I have a Lenovo Ideapad 720s. I bought it as an open box from Micro Center. Worked great for a while and then the computer would just start turning off when the battery got to 30% or so. I thought maybe there was some power drain happening when it was shut down and unplugged, because I would often have it on and plugged in at 100% and then shut it off and unplug and a week or two later turn it on and the battery is down to about 40%. So I went through the bios and turned anything off I could find that would have to do with power draw during system off. No effect, the laptop still shuts off around 30% battery, and the battery seem to drain really fast. OK, so next step I did was I bought an OEM battery and replaced the battery. No effect, the system is still powering off when the battery gets to 30% or so and it still seems to drain like crazy when the laptop is shut down but not plugged in.
What else can I do? I think I just got a defective unit or something.
Specs:
i5-8265U
8GB Ram
256GB SSD
Win 11
