Battery powered drill question

...and what better place to ask thatn ATOT. 😀

My dad wants a high capacity battery powered drill. Since I know next to knowthing about power tools I thought some of you could help me pick one. Price doesn't really matter, he just wants one that last a long time. His black n decker pos runs out after about 20mins of hard use. 🙁

Anyway, thx for your help. 😀

How heavy can it be? There are lots of good choices out there, but it really depends on what he wants to use it for -- and how comfortable he wants it to be. 18v drills are great, but I wouldn't want to use one all day.

when you say long time, do you mean a high quality drill that will last or do you mean one that will hold a charge for awhile?

make sure you get a kit that has two batteries (as many of the kits now have)...

you shoule be fine with ryobi, dewault, craftsmen or black/decker... (14v or higher)...

if he really needs something that will last all day, i would really suggest a corded drill..

DeWalt. Accept no subtitutes, take no prisoners. Go 24v if cost is no object.

And I tought our 14.4 volter was heavy!

But yeah, we use a Dewalt 14.4V XR drill and it laster far longer then 20 minutes. Great drill!
