Battery life with old phone? (S2 Skyrocket)

Hey,

I've got the Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket and overall it's fine except for the awful battery life. I've had it about two years and the battery life at first was ok, but has gotten progressively worse. It can't last a work day just being on and idle, with power saving on - wifi off - sync off - lowest screen brightness, etc.

I keep power saving on practically 100% of the time. I've been using Battery Doctor and Clean Master apps to try to help, but they haven't made a huge difference.

Download cpu spy and see if the phone goes into deep sleep when not in use, if it doesn't then some app is keep it up. If it goes go into deep sleep then odds are the battery is dying.

Your options in order...

1. Factory reset
2. Get new battery
3. Get new phone

Also depends on your signal level. If you are in no signal/low signal then your battery will drain fast.

Get the new battery. It costs, like what, 10 bucks for OEM's!

CPU Spy says it's been in Deep Sleep 43% of the time

I actually did try a new OEM battery, saw little to no difference.
