depends on usage. It'll go a week if I'm not at my computer much/just surfing. If I start gaming, it drops to a few days, though. And of course, it usually starts going at the most inopportune time :p

Just be glad it's rechargeable!

Am I missing something here or don't you just put the mouse in the recharging base every night and never worry about the batteries dying?

Yeah i agree with u...i do think these guys are missing the point of having a recharger..

just put ur mouse on the recharger everynight..or even everytime u dont use the mouse..it will keep on charging it.. the battries on the mouse are NiMH so they dont have the memory effect such as NiCd.

just put them one the recharger everynight and never worry about loosing the mouse. no matter what u use it for..

I have to charge it every three to four days. You must have some bad batteries. I wonder if you can just buy some other ni-mh batteries?

I put in some energizer nimh 1850mzh batteries and they seemed to suck even more than the batteries that came with the mx700.

anyone have recommendations on good batteries to use with this mouse?

I bought mine used and it did not come with batteries :( so I stuck a spare pair of panasonic 1600ma in there and it seems ok. I also try to put it back in the cradle after non use but my wife sometimes forget.

Not sure how long it really lasts though, sorry.

This is a good place to buy rechargable batteries:

Just get some Powerex 2000's and be done with it.

Actually, mine have never run out...

I've left it off the cradle for a couple days with no problem (not being used).

I generally keep it in the charger. I've used it for 8 hours straight without any problem.
