Battery life gone to putz 2000miles from home

Drove from Arizona to Ohio for summer vacation.

I have a rooted droid 2 with cpu tuner. Normally I easily get a days battery life, but now my battery life drops like crazy since I've been in Ohio.

Typical usage includes gps/fb/twitter/taking pics and uploading them/txts and light talking (avg <1hr a day)

haha so much for using it as a phone...

Anyway, any ideas or settings that might help?

When MOTO batteries die, they die. My Droid battery died in ten months. Yes, I did have a ton of cycles on it.
BTW - the Droid 2 and Droid 1 have the same battery in case you need to pick one up.
Edit. Yeah, see if you hunting for signal too. It usually gets warm on idle if its hunting for signal.

Unfortunately, all phones on CDMA networks (Verizon, Sprint, Virgin Mobile) will burn battery faster in areas of low reception, and in areas where the network is under heavy use, due to the near-far problem.

Also, go into the Network settings, and change to "Local only" instead of A or B roaming....
