Battery inside the Logitech MX700 Mouse

There is a link... I need to know if its lithium ion like in my phone and laptop.. IT would really have to suck to have to drain it to 0% every time and then wait for it to go bac kto 100% so that you dont weaken the battery.......

Anyone know if its an old style battery or a new one?

No need to drain it dead before charging. Had mine a few months and it has never had this problem in fact at first the more often i put in the charging cradle the longer the charge would last. took it a couple of charges to hit its max charge.

They're regular rechargable AA nimh batteries, not LiIon. I think they're 1600mAH each, IIRC.

i was wondering if i could replace those with better, more "juicy" batteries ? like a 2100 mAH..

yes you can, I put in some 1850mah batteries when I got my MX700

Since they're just regular batteries, they're replaceable with higher capacity nimh batteries. I just wouldn't use nicd or alkaline if you're planning to place it back on its cradle.

Mine were rated @ 1800 or 1850 mAh (I'm using some Sanyo 2100s in it though....since when I got the mouse the Sanyo's were already fully charged).

Just use it and don't worry about it You can buy the batteries from almost anywhere. Its just a regular battery, nothing special

They're NiMh (Nickel Metal Hydride) batteries, 1700mAh. Logitech's website, somewhere, states what types of batteries you should use, up to 1850mAh IIRC.
