Whenever I think of car batteries I immediately think of Die Hard. I've always had positive experiences with them so I'm thinking of picking one up. It's $95 for one of their Gold series but any other recommendations that are $100 and below and better than Die Hard brand?

Interstate. Excellent quality. Last one I had lasted for 8 years. Most mechanics I know swear by them.

haha i will add another brand: Optima. A red top should be 100-130 bucks. Sears carries them.

Personally I had a die hard in my car and it was cheap (compared to interstate and optima) and worked just fine.

Normally though my dad purchases interstate.

I go to wal-mart and get the Everstart. I keep the recipt and every 2 years or so I exchange it with a new battery and say the battery is bad. i've done this for 6 years so far with no problems. Your getting a new battyer every 2 years or so.

Really the big killer with batteries is heat. Getting a heat shield or box or moving the battery to the trunk can reduce this greatly and increase battery life a lot. But from what I understand a lot of batteries are rebadged of other brands.

I hate your kind. Stop scamming, you're screwing over all of us with your disgusting lack of morality.

OP: Any of the batteries listed are pretty good...but honestly, I never had trouble with a run-of-the-mill battery from any auto parts store.

I have an exide/energizer battery.. works good on my car the last 2+ years. The original was a motorcraft that ran 5 years.
