Battery for 5 year old laptop

I've an HP DV7-4285 dx in need of a new battery. Going on 5 years old, I'm rather astonished that the battery that came with it still holds for about an hour under light loads (though formerly it was closer to the 7 hour mark). Laptop is still perfectly functional, just threw in an SSD last year when the hdd went, and handles any light-moderate load and (light) gaming quite well.

Not sure where to get the best prices for batteries though. On the HP site (this is for the 9 cell which came stock), they were approaching $80 which is rather obscene. At the same time, I'd prefer to stray away from cheapo firebombs though.

Suggestions?

$80 ain't that bad.
Just be grateful that the thing even charges. I've seen countless DV7's not even hold charges at all 'cuz the charging circuit boards became defective.
Gave up on Amazon and eBay for batteries unless it's like $25 or a battery for a particular thnkpad laptop I really needed.

Here is a $28 one with prime 2 day shipping. It has 900 reviews! Recent ones are decent. YMMV http://www.amazon.com/HP-Original-R...8&showViewpoints=1&sortBy=recent&pageNumber=2 I'd give it a chance especially since yours isn't dead yet, but certainly watch it for the first few charges.

I've pretty much written off the battery as "needs replacing" for quite some time especially with roughly an hour run time on power saver mode and Word, though yes, I've had batteries not take a charge at all.

Not quite the 9 cell, but I could snag a couple, and just hibernate to SSD to swap batteries.
