I was looking at plug-in home chargers for Batteries. I noticed one website that dealt heavily in battery Desulfication. It talked about how you can re-vitalize batteries by using their product etc... I also noticed a lot of the "Smart" chargers (which aren't really expensive) has a battery desulfication feature inside.
So I guess my question is traditionally when a battery can no longer hold a charge we always just throw it out assuming that it's bad. No one is ever taught to repair a battery esp. sealed main-free batteries. I always thought it was because the plates in the battery become thinner or wear out. But, is it also possible that the battery is bad simply because the plates are sulficated. In other words you could use one of these special chargers to bring it back to its working condition.
