Can anyone recommend a good battery charger? For normal everyday use batteries like AAs or AAAs and whatever else is normally used around the house? Thanks
Maha makes some great ones. Their service is great too. I got one that stopped charging. Called them up and they sent me a new power block in the mail. The thing has been working for four years now.

get a smart charger that senses when your batteries are full.
most of the cheap chargers that come with the batteries are dumb charges. they'll charge for X hours no matter how full the battery is. thats not good for the battery
Edit:
The La Crosse charger is highly rated, but there are cheaper smart chargers if u dont need the LCD display
There was an artilcle featured a few months ago explaining how to make a simple recharger
for regular AA & AAA batteries. No need to buy rechargeable batteries. With that setup you can recharge regular ordinary ones.
