Battery charger for digital camera

I misplaced my adapter so I'm looking to get a replacement. The official AC-8U AC adapter from Minolta is $50! 🙁

So I checked Ebay and appearantly this charger is compatible with the NP-500 battery. I don't really care about having AC power, I just need a way to charge the battery. Of course, Minolta claims to only use the AC-8U but if I could get a charger for half the price that would be better. Anyone have any experience?

There is other chargers on Ebay also but none seem to official so I don't wanna buy something that may hose the battery. I dont know if there is any leeway as far as the power specifics.

Unfortunately the Minolta G500 isn't listed. It uses the NP-500 battery, although I seen some deals on ebay for a equivalent battery and charger for under $25. I'm not sure how specific they charger needs to be.

I have a Canon camera, and I misplaced the charger for the batteries. So, I bought a generic one off of ebay for $13, as opposed to $60 for a genuine Canon one, and it works just fine.

My camera takes 3.3V so I'm going to rig a way to power it from my computer's 3.3V rail. I just have to find the right size barrel connector.
