Battery Change= Speedometer Not Working

I had to replace the battery in my wife's 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan. SInce replacing the battery, the speedometer (needle-type) does not work.

Any ideas?

Does your transmission seem to be stuck in 2nd gear? If so, replace the output speed sensor (on the transmission). This is a common issue on chrysler's transmissions. Other possibilities may be a bus problem (the instrument panel communicates to the car's computers via this. You'll notice because none of the gauges will work and the odometer readout will say something like no bus. If it's none of these, I'd try replacing the instrument panel.
