Positive cable terminal on my 01 tundra has corroded and needs to be replaced. Do they sell some type of replacement end for these or am I going to have to try and replace the entire cable?

They sell replacement ends. If you have enough slack you can cut the cable and put a new end on. Your local auto parts store will have them as will Wal-mart.

There are a few different types.

What does yours look like now?

+1 pics would help.

You need to bend the end until you get past the crunchy part, and cut there.

The cable usually needs a good bit of slack, if there's not enough to need to properly lengthen the cable.

Be sure to clean the cable... Use contact/tuner/electrical cleaner, then cover the cable with dilectric grease before attaching it to the terminal.

It's critical to have a good connection. A loose terminal/cable can cause all sorts of frustrating problems.

I extensively scrubbed it with baking soda and got a good amount of gunk off. But when I tried to loosen the bolt on the positive end the metal just broke there. Somewhat odd that the buildup is just on the positive side, negatve connection looks great.

That's all pretty common. Both the + being corroded and the terminal falling apart.

I left the crimped on terminal on the cable, and just cut the ring end of it off, and clamped the barrel part in the terminal I posted earlier.

That is how galvanic corrosion occurs, material moves from the negative side to the positive side. So the positive side gets a build up of crusty stuff, while the negative side is slowly losing material.
