Battery Backup recommendation

Can anyone recommend a battery backup for a Dell PowerEdge 2500 server. Need something that will keep if up and running as long as possible (at least 8 hours). I have already looked into APC, so any recommendations on any other systems?

8 hours - thats going to be expensive. dont suppose you can chain link uninteruptable power supplies.

linking them together can cause nasty problems and inefficiencies. I recommend getting a generator to supplement a UPS with a 10 to 15-minute supply. That should be long enough to start up the generator.

Just add some battories to your current UPS. and if there's no room.... put them in a box?
