Just recently bought a battery backup. capacity of 335 watts 585va ( which means nothing..i think you out to go for watts number)... . To my dismay it tells me that it full load capacity whenever i play crysis. I think i can turn off that option where it will turn on the alarm.. my question is because of the max capacity of 335 watts.. is it only giving that much to my system>? thus starving my 850watts power supply and the rest of my component..or the 335 watts only accounts if my power goes out and its basically telling me it cant provided any power to my system at all. I dont really mind if that is the case.. i only really use battery backup to provide clean power to my system and not time to shut down my pc. please let me know if you have any experience with how battery backup works.
thanks.

It is warning you that you exceeded the amount of power the ups was designed for. If the power fails at the wall, the ups will immediately cut off everything to keep the ups from damaging itself.

It is still supplying your pc with whatever power it needs, but it could cause fuses inside the ups to blow if you continue to use it that way.

As for it cleaning up the power , its not doing anything a simple passive filter can't do. Your ups is working like a 10.00 surge protector.
It cannot boost or cut voltage like a properly sized ups could.

When picking a ups size, go for one that is about twice of what your needs are.
