Batte for Middle-Earth II

Have any of you noticed how big of a game upon installation (vanilla version) that one is ?

I mean, I remember that The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind plus both expansions (Travincal & Bloodmoon) was also taking a lot of my HDD space.

But I'm more refering to a game that's not expanded yet.

Right on first released version, without modifications nor patches ... it's almost 6 GB !

Is it me or is it simply the biggest/largest game ever created so far ?

Yeah i just installed it, it's about 5-6 gigs installed. I only played the first few missions for good, but the game doesn't seem that much 'bigger' than the first one though.

Not the biggest game... but pretty damn big. But this game has so much cutscene and different plays, i'm not surprised.

Act of War installed is around 5GB I think. I'll check it when I go home.

Morrowind without add-ons is a HUGE world considering its only one disc.
Even with the add-ons I still think its smaller (byte-wise) than games like FEAR, Q4, HL2 and Diablo 2.

I still own Diablo 2, shortylickens, and I can confirm that a "full install" along with Lord of Destruction, patched, is just a bit more than one GB (my D2 folder is 1.32 GB).

Right now, a 1 GB game is small. But back in around 2000/2001, a 1 GB PC game was considered to be within "the big ones". You couldn't find much bigger than that.

I see that PC games especially (and I believe it'll go that way as well with Consoles on the new, and next generations) tend to get bigger over time ... but that only means more content ... it doesn't that content in question is better though.

auto assault beta test was 8GB, and it was still not interesting. anyone else play that 3D fps that's only 98KB?
