Anyone else pumped for this movie? Batman has, and always will be, my favourite fictional character. Tim Burton's "Batman" is easily my most-watched film.

I've seen all the teasers, trailers, and TV spots, and I've got to say "Batman Begins" looks like it will be a good one.

I've read that the second film will feature The Joker. The third film will feature his trial, and the subsequent transformation of D.A. Harvey Dent to Two-Face.

UPDATE - June 10:

Just bought my tickets for opening night!

Memento (directed by Christopher Nolan) is probably my favorite movie - watch it if you've not seen it. I hope he can make BB as good! God knows the series needs it.

Wow.. didn't know it was the same director. Memento was definitely amazing... crazy movie. There is some very clever story telling in there.

The story looks to be promising.

I don't care too much for this incarnation of the costume though, seems too thick and bulky in the headpeice and mask area. And I'm not too crazy about the 'stubby' style ears either. Longer, sharper ears seem more menacing to me.

I"m not too partial to the stupid looking car - esp. if it's the WayneTek Concept Car: wouldn't their world equivalent of NFS4 just as well figure it out?

Anyhow, it does look promising.

they are following "The Dark Knight Returns" by Frank Miller. The batmobile went through a few phases before it became what we know of it today.

bruce wayne goes around the world learning how to fight, they are sticking pretty true to the story.

i'm seeing the movie June 10th, i'll try to post a review.

The movie seems to blend well the elements of Batman's comic book origins, the basic absurdity of the character, and just the right amount of believability.

I wasn't crazy about the Batmobile either, but when you really think about it - A multi-millionaire weapons manufacturer would probably plunder his own technology should he choose to fight crime. It's grown on me, but I would love to see it evolve into something sleeker, sexier.

I'm also a fan of over-sized, pointy ears, a la Kelly Jones, but the smaller, stubby ears are more practical and more realistic.

I think Christian Bale will do an outstanding job. He's believable as a young Bruce Wayne. He seems to possess the intensity required for the role. Keep in mind, some people say Batman is the real identity and that Wayne is simply the mask. His performance in the suit is what counts.

Liev Schreiber is tipped to play Harvey Dent (a.k.a Two Face) and apparently Lachy Hulme may be playing The Joker in the sequel.

Michael Keaton was the best Batman.

at the time however, the decision was pretty heavily criticized. most people associated Keaton with lighter comic stuff.

yes, he was definitely the best batman to date. this next one could be pretty good too tho.

Keaton did a great job as Wayne, but Batman is the character's true identity. Wayne is just a mask. I think Bale has the chops to pull it off.
