I saw BB last nite for the first time, and it is now my fav. super hero movie, and definitely a really enjoyable moive to watch. They did a really good job showing how batman created the suit,cave,got started,etc. which the other batman movies failed to do. I liked spiderman, but just always preffered batman, even since i was a kid.

They were different movies altogether....I mean style-wise.
BB was a cinematic experience with more believable special effects.
Spidey is more of a computer graphics fantasy that has some inexcusable gaps. It's more of a classic-style superhero flick that should be compared more with the original Michael Keaton Batman (minus Tim Burton's signature touches)

tobey mguier is too damn winey to play spiderman........liked it but he's too much of a puss.......i like batman begins

I liked both of these movies a lot, so its kind of a tough call. Spiderman had the better fight scenes simply because the director didn't film them with a shakey camcorder. However, the batman character and back store was much more fleshed out and better presented so I had to go with batman.
I think in the long run the batman series will be stronger though. There were already a lot of weak points in the second spiderman and I can't think of a possible way for them to do all the new characters they're introducing in the third justice, without making the movie five and a half hours long. So I have to conclude that the third movie is probably going to kind of stink.

I thought the way they linked the end of BB into the original Michael Keaton Batman from the early 90's (late 80's?) was a very classy and extremely awesome twist. I wish they could leave that in there, and maybe the one after that, and continue the series after the Joker/Catwoman/Penguin sagas. Noone will ever do the Joker as good as Jack Nicholson, and any attempts will come off as a bad remake and ruin the movie. Anything with Robin, Val Kilmer, or any kind of neon lighting whatsoever I refuse to believe is part of the Batman universe.
Also, voted Batman Begins. I loved Spiderman, but BB is an entirely new level of awesomeness.

I'm pretty sure BB was intended as a reboot/reimagining of the whole series, not a prequel that was going to keep continuity with the old films. And thank god since most of them were garbage.

I really liked how the movie focused on the batman character so much, and how it portrayed the wayne family as "destined" to be protectors of gotham city.

Yeah, that's the one plot hole that keeps them from being a seamless transition. Unfortunately they way they addressed his familys killers in both movies were pretty major plot points, so they couldn't just randomly change one of them to fit.
Honestly, I would be more than happy to ignore that glaring hole in exchange for them not pissing on Nicholson's performance as the Joker by trying to remake the villain.

Batman Begins hands down. Spiderman was a great movie, but BB was just done so much better IMO.
Oh, and BTW, Peter Parker has always been a wuss, so Tobey Maguire is the perfect Spiderman.
