I've got my house torn apart and now I cannot seem to loosen the nut on the bathtub drain.

Picture

That is inside and above the soffit in my kitchen. It looks like there is room but there isn't. I've tried a couple different tools with no luck.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Cut cpvc pipe, do whatever you are trying to do, repair pipe?

What do you mean correct picture? That's the drain.

Cutting the cpvc might be an option, hmm. Is their such a thing as some sort of compact plumbing wrench?

can you remove it from the top with a drain dumbell? They also make adjustable nut wrenches that might help save on space

Channel locks are the best thing ever. I swear you could build a whole house with nothing more then Channel Locks and a box of nails and pile of wood.

I've tried channel locks and a pipe wrench already but maybe cutting the pipe would allow more working room. There isn't as much room in there as it appears.

Removing from the top is not an option. It's on an outside wall.

I don't believe basin wrenches are made for drains but I could be wrong.
