My uncle's bathroom is getting steamed up and is Mwilding all over the walls and ceiling 😉 anything that we can use to clear up my uncles problem?

you need to add ventillation to get some airflow in there. that way excessive moisture will be removed

dehumidifier?

we had moisture on most of our windows. picked up a dehumidifier from Costco, it takes care of the whole house just running it overnight.

That's a short-term solution.

What he needs to do is, like FoBoT said, is to add more ventilation to the room.

i have taken my laptop into the bathroom before, mostly when i was playing online poker or something like that , that could not be paused

oh. we'll be using ours long-term, but whatever.

modern houses usually have an exhaust in the bathroom required by code, IIRC. perhaps the one in question is a bit older.

Install an exhaust fan. make sure it's powerful enough. They're rated by cubic ft.

Yep, stop in Lowes or Home Depot. Depending on what size you need, it should run you $30-$80. They are also rated for for noise, the quieter ones cost a little more.

LOL!!!

Dammit!

Everyone's missed the obvious solution here: Your uncle should immediately cease any and all attempts at personal hygiene.

No showers/baths = no steam = no problem.

Thanks, that'll be $50. Next customer in line, please.

😛

So far, everyone has missed it.

is that cause its really good? or really bad?

I thought it was slick. But you know OT...

yea, and from the post above yours it looks like they are going to continue missing it 😀 but thats ok too 😉

That's what vent fans are for in the bathroms. They aren't there to get the stink out (even though they help for that). They are made to get the humid air out when showering. Should run it when he showers and such and he won't get more.

As for getting rid of what's already there... Standard mold/mildew cleaner should work.
