Bathroom Flooring (BETTER POLL)

1) Wood only.
2) Linoleum with throw rugs.
3) Linoleum with throw rugs.

So I voted linoleum with throw rugs since it dominates 2 to 1 in my house.

I would seriously say carpet.
We went from wood only to carpet, and carpet is wonderful. It was fairly long pile, but it was so nice on the feet.

Ceramic tile. I'm still fvcking with a slate tile job, it's miserable to work with & not very sturdy at all...

Only room IMHO to consider sheet goods flooring is the kitchen, a cushioned sheet style flooring may save a plate & it's less tiring on the legs if you actually cook in the kitchen.

That being said, I'm going to tile mine & forever be picking up Corell pieces out of my feet.

Two that have ceramic tile floors, two with carpeting, and one that has hardwood flooring.

Personally, I think that bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms should not have wall-to-wall carpet...and if they absolutely musthave carpet, then it shouldn't be white carpet. One of my brothers had a house where the garage door opened into the kitchen and the kitchen carpeting ws white. (And the bathrooms had white carpeting, too.) Seemed like a terrible idea to me, but since he never cooks, it was less of a problem for him.

Ceramic tile in the bathroom, but you gotta have throw rugs to stand on when you get out of the shower.
You could get away with hardwood in a powder room where there's not much chance of too much water getting on the floor, but it seems like a dicey proposition in a full bathroom in terms of having to replace rotting or warped planks every so often.

Wall to wall carpeting...Stupid cheap assed builders. Why anyone would put carpeting in a bathroom is beyond me. Every bathroom in our house (all 3 of them) have carpet with the exception of one which has carpet where the sinks are but linoleum in the room with the toilet and bathtub in it.

I have enough tile in my garage to tile the master bathroom (which is almost 80 sq ft) and the downstairs bath. I just need to find the time to do it...

I just put 12x12 ceramic tile in my kitchen and it is fine. I cook in there all the time and never have a problems with my feet or legs. It had linoleum when we bought the house but I tiled over it. It looks much better IMO.
