Bathing Towels, How often do you put wash it?? After every shower?

Just curious as to how often you put your towels in the hamper??

One whole week! They get washed when I do the laundry. As long as they're able to dry, they're fine. However, washcloths are a different story.

What kind of moron washes towels after every shower?? How many towels do you have? I wash them when I feel like it, which is usually before they have an odor. I'd hope your body is clean enough after a shower to not cause any bacterial growth other than mildew, which shouldn't even matter if you let the towel dry.

Usually after 3 showers it turns into a hand towel until the next shower towel runs its course

reason i ask is cause when i used to live with my parents waayy back when, i used to use the same towel for 1 to 2 weeks. since i got married, my wife would wash towels after EVERY use. GOD, talk about laundry, our utilities bill last month came to $450.00. can you imagine that?

so i decided to hang my towel in my closet (out of my wifes sight) and try using it for about a week at a time. u figure that's 6 towels a week less in the laundry. that's like 1/3 to 1/4 load.

odors can develop even when drying a clean body IF it isn't dried well. in Seoul during Monsoon, nothing ever dries, so you will get a serious whiff of nasty during monsoon because people can't hang dry anything well and most people still don't have driers.

About one to two weeks. I don't understand how someone would wash a towel everyday after one shower. Besides high utilities bills, what else are you washing this one towel with? Changing sheets everyday, too? Sounds likes it's a little on the obsessive side to me...

My wife and I were doing 2 to 3 loads of laundry every other day.

Growing up i did the laundry for our family and back then we did 3 or 4 loads a week. i couldn't figure out why we were doing soo much more now. i think towels were part of the problem.

Well the rest of us actually wash our rear ends in the shower before drying off. You should try it too.

Problem solved.

This is what I do:
My wife is picky about how a towl hangs (it must be folded and the tag on the back so it looks decent). I grab the towl off the rack. Since the non-tag part is closest, it is the part I grab. Thus I dry my face/hair with it. That saturates the top (non-tagged end). Then I use the middle for my armpits, body, privates, and rear end. That saturates the middle part. Then I open the shower curtain and put the dry end (with the tag) on the floor. I step onto it and dry my feet/legs with that dry tagged end. Thus I'm guaranteed to be holding on to the non-tagged end - so when I fold the towel, I don't even have to think about which end to hang so my wife is happy about the tag being hidden. Thus I NEVER dry my face with a part of a towel that has ever touched an armpit, privates, or rear end. I wash them whenever I have a spare spot in the wash to make a full load. Thus most often every 2-3 weeks (I use two towels - one each day).
