Batch Image Compression for my 400 JPG Digital Camera pictures?

each one of my camera pictures is 700+ kb. i know i can reduce them down to 200+ with photoshop or irfanview but i dont want to do this 400 times. is there a small jpg utility that will compress all the images at once?

You could use Photoshop and automate a batch using an action. Simple.

Photoshop and Irfanview can both do batch operations. Look under File for both programs.

sweet. thanks guys. irfanview is quick and doesnt take alot of resources as photoshop does.

ImageMagick has a command line conversion tool that makes batch image manipulation simple.
