Batch file to change attributes of a folder????

I have a quick question. I am creating a batch file to change file permissions on several folders. Problem is I need to change one of the folders attributes from read-only to read-write. Essentially just going to the properties of the folder and unchecking the read-only box. Is there a way in a batch to do this. Thanks a bunch,
