Batch convert AIFF to WAV files?

I work in College radio and one of our producers created digital versions of hundreds and hundreds of analog spots, evidently saving them all in AIFF file format. Our digital on-air play software-system unfortunately doesn't accommodate AIFF files, only WAV files. I converted around a dozen to WAV a few days ago using Audacity, a tedious process in that a new Audacity window opened up each time I opened an AIFF file. I did a Save As each time, chose WAV format. It's not something I want to do hundreds and hundreds of times.

Is there a program/utility (preferably free) that will batch convert AIFF to WAV? At home I work on a PCs (XP or Windows 7) but at the station we use Mac pretty much. I'm pretty unfamiliar with Macs, myself. I have the files on my PC. I could do the conversions here.

I installed Foxtab audio converter, which is supposed to batch process audio conversions but it looks and acts like complete crapware and it didn't work so I uninstalled it.

Went there, and wow. Command line utility with a ton of features, open source evidently, but I can't figure out anything, including how to download. :whiste:

In a thread found in a google search one guy said Fubar2000 does this easily. I just downloaded and installed the latest stable version and indeed it does it very easily. Add a folder and all the AIFF files are right there and selected. Right click, choose "Convert" and the default conversion file format is WAV. Click that to confirm and you are asked to select an output directory. So, I put a \WAV directory directly beneath each of my AIFF file directories for output. It works quickly and easily. Acid test will be when I take these to the radio station andmake sure these files work OK in our system, but I think they probably will.
